Henryk Pytel Obituary, A Decorated War Veteran,Sadly Passed Away

Henryk Pytel Obituary - Henry Jack Pytel, Sr., a Polish ice hockey player, passed away at Santa Rosa Hospital on May 7, 2001. His passing occurred on a Monday. He had reached the age of 74, and in addition to being a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, he was also a decorated war veteran who had received numerous awards for outstanding performance achievement while working at Kelly Air Force Base. Both of his parents, along with two of his brothers and one of his sisters, had already passed away before he was born.


Celia A. Pytel, his wife of 57 and a half years, has passed away, but his spirit continues to live on in his children, Jack Pytel Jr. and his wife Elsa, all of San Antonio, Texas; Christine Pytel and Jerry A. Sesco, Arlington, Virginia; and William Pytel and his wife Rachel, San Antonio, Texas; the Pytel grandchildren, Henry Jack III, Jeffrey, Tiffany, Gabriel, Nicolas, Jacqueline, Jennifer, Bill, and Jon; the Pytel great-grandson, Joseph Xavier Pytel; his sisters, Bertha Galvan, Florida, and Minnie Pytel Farmer, San Antonio, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives; and special friends, Joe Mendez, George Rocha, and Joe and Irene Casas and their families.

In addition to this, during his time on Earth, he had an influence on the lives of a great number of children and adults. Amid love and peace, I pray that you find the rest that you deserve. He was known as Henry Jack Pytel. A member of the family will be present at Porter Loring on Thursday evening, between the hours of six and seven o'clock, to meet and greet guests. A ROSARY A PORTER LORING CHAPEL PROCESSION WILL BE HELD THIS THURSDAY AT 7:00 P.M. The procession will begin this Thursday at Porter Loring Mass, which will begin at approximately nine o'clock on Friday morning.
