How To Reset Your Pc To Default Factory Settings

1) Decide if you want to actually sell or keep your pc because it will require you to decide if you want to delete the files inside your computer as the process begins.

2) Back up your files. This step is very important because you might later on need some of the files which you probably would have deleted, so it is advisable to keep all your files backed up to avoid loss.

3) Ensure that al programmes or applications that are opened are closed. Only the desktop background should be on display

4) Go to settings on your windows 10 laptop, then locate at the bottom of the page where it says update and security. Click on it.

5) Look at the left hand side where it says recovery, click on it and it will take you to a page where it says "Reset This Pc".

6) This next screen will show you the option to 'Keep your files' or 'Remove Everything' from your pc.

7) When you choose the keep your file option, you will see that the computer will tell you all the required changes that are supposed to be made for the factory default. when this option is clicked, then just wait for the process to repair one. NB you don't need to do anything as the computer will automatically reset back to default when it needs to. Note that even as the computer has been reset, all previous files are still intact.

8) Start step 1 - 6 and then click on Remove everything, this will still give you the option of restoring back your files, also this option just give you one more chance to save your files. If you don't click on it then click on the reset button that will erase all the data and applications that you wish to restore.
