Larry E.R. Edwards Obituary -  An accidental gunshot wound ultimately proves to be fatal for Larry E.R. Edwards, a resident of Sunbury, who passed away on Thursday night, just a few moments after driving himself to Nationwide Children's Hospital.

Larry E.R. Edwards, 41, of Sunbury, was tragically killed late on Thursday night after being shot in the 400 block of Parsons Avenue while he was driving, according to the Columbus police department. Even though he had been shot, Edwards drove himself to Nationwide Children's Hospital, which is located slightly more than a mile away.

An individual who had been shot was brought to the hospital at approximately 10:30 p.m., and the police were informed about their arrival. The unfortunate news is that Edwards passed away within the first thirty minutes of arriving at the hospital.

A ShotSpotter alert indicated that there was gunfire in the vicinity of Livingston Park, which is close to the hospital, approximately a few minutes before Edwards arrived at the facility. The relationship between the ShotSpotter alarm and the shooting of Edwards is still not completely understood.

Even though the investigation is still ongoing, the authorities have not disclosed whether or not any suspects have been found or whether or not Edwards provided any information before his unfortunate passing. In the report of the investigation that was made public, there is no mention of any arrests or possible explanations for the shooting.
