Eddie Arinwine Obituary - As we said our goodbyes to Eddie Glenn Arinwine, a remarkable individual, on the morning of January 27th, 2024, our hearts were heavy with sorrow. After a long and courageous battle against cancer and the challenges brought on by previous strokes, Eddie passed away peacefully in his sleep, making his transition from this world. His passing has left a hole in our lives, but we take comfort in the knowledge that he is no longer suffering under the circumstances of his departure.
Eddie's journey toward the end was marked by the loving support of his family and the compassionate care provided by hospice nurses. Both of these elements contributed to Eddie's journey. After suffering a seizure or stroke on Wednesday, we were given the advice to get ready for his departure, which was expected to occur soon. The knowledge that Eddie was no longer in pain brought us some measure of solace, even though we were drowning in sorrow. We are deeply moved by the outpouring of love and support from our community as the Arinwine siblings and family prepare to come to terms with Eddie's passing. His life will be commemorated at the Temple and Sons Funeral Home in Oklahoma City, and we are making arrangements to do so to pay our respects to his memory.
Those who knew and loved Eddie will soon be able to pay their last respects for him by attending the memorial service, which will be announced in the near future. From the depths of our sorrow, we would like to express our appreciation to everyone who has reached out to us during this difficult time to offer their condolences and assistance. While we are going through the process of saying goodbye to our cherished father, your thoughts and prayers are pillars of strength that we can rely on. We would like to extend our sincere support and solidarity to Eddie's wife, children, and extended family members. The memories of Eddie's laughter, wisdom, and unflinching love will be treasured by all of us together after his passing.
He may be no longer physically present with us; however, his spirit continues to live on in the countless lives that he touched. "Throw a brick at me sometime from heaven, dad!" Eddie said as he was being laid to rest, and we echo his concluding words. So long, peace." His spirit may rest in peace for all eternity, and may his legacy continue to motivate those who knew him to be kind and resilient. Eddie Glenn Arinwine is revered in our hearts, and we pray that his legacy will live on in perpetuity.
