 Donald Whitten Obituary - Our hearts are heavy as we share the sad news that Brother Don Whitten has passed away because of his illness. In addition to being a well-liked member of our community, he was a close friend to a great number of people.


An individual named Donald Whitten, who lived in Manhattan, entered the Great Grange in a composed manner on the first Thursday of February, 2024. His legacy of devotion and service will be fondly remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing him personally.


Through his long and devoted service as a member of Carbondale Grange #754, Brother Don was able to demonstrate his commitment to the community and to selfless service.


Everyone at the Kansas State Grange meeting appreciated and admired his presence and efforts, as he was a well-known figure who attended the meeting.


Don was a passionate supporter of a variety of community initiatives, in addition to his active participation in the Grange. Beecher Bible & Rifle Church, Wamego Senior Center, American Legion Boys State, and Wamego High School Honor Flight were some of the organizations that he supported enthusiastically. He was very enthusiastic about giving back to the community, and he supported these organizations in particular.


On Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from twelve o'clock in the afternoon until two o'clock in the afternoon, Brother Don will be honored with a visitation that will take place at the Campanella & Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego, Michigan. At two o'clock in the afternoon, there will be a funeral service held in the same location to celebrate the life and lasting legacy of Don.


It is the family's sincere request that in place of flowers, memorial contributions be made to one of the charitable organizations that were near and dear to Don's heart.
