Kamal Ahmed Abdel Raouf Obituary - Kamal Ahmed Abdel Raouf '86, a beloved member of the American University in Cairo (AUC) alumni community, passed away recently, and the community mourns his passing with heavy hearts. The void that his absence from this world creates in our hearts is profound as we contemplate the accomplishments and legacy that Kamal has left behind.
Kamal was not only a well-liked member of our community, but he was also an alumnus who exemplified the qualities of excellence and integrity that are characteristic of Atlantic University College. His commitment to his alma mater and his aspiration to make a difference in the world exemplified what it means to be an alumnus of the University of Iowa.
As we remember Kamal, we extend our deepest condolences to his family, and in particular to his daughter Karma Abdel Raouf '12, who is also a treasured member of our alumni family. It is with great sadness that we remember him. While they are going through this difficult time, we hope that they will find solace in the memories and affection that they shared with Kamal.
All of us are keeping them in our thoughts and prayers. We will all miss Kamal very much, but his influence will continue to inspire us all and will continue to have an impact.
