It is still very clear to me that I was trembling with nervous anticipation as I prepared to fire at my very first DTL target. I can still vividly recall my very first shotgun experience. During the moment that I was anxiously raising the gun, Len was standing behind me, providing me with words of support and encouraging advice that provided me with the self-assurance and drive I required to be successful. Not only did he become my guide, but he also became a close friend of mine, and I will be eternally grateful to him for his generosity, his wisdom, and his unwavering support.
Above all else, Len Roberts was something of a true gentleman in the most traditional sense of the word. Through his warm smile, friendly demeanor, and unwavering kindness, he left an impression that will remain for decades to come, touching the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
